DESCRIPTION: Tulip ‘Sunlover’ is a truly spectacular late double variety, admired for the richness of its form and the warmth of its ever-changing colors. It thrives in a sunny position, though it will also tolerate light shade, and prefers well-drained soil that allows its roots to establish firmly. The flowers are large, full, and layered, opening in shades of golden yellow suffused with orange and sometimes touched with red, giving them a fiery, glowing appearance that recalls the radiance of the sun itself. Planted in autumn, the bulbs require a germination period of about eight to twelve weeks during which they develop roots through the colder months, preparing for their lush display in spring. Flowering occurs later in the season, typically in late April and May, when the plants rise to a height of about forty to fifty centimeters. At this moment, the blooms unfurl in all their opulence, bringing a vibrant, theatrical energy to the garden just as it reaches its peak of spring vitality.
