DESCRIPTION: 🌸 Anemone coronaria 'De Caen' is a beloved spring and early summer bloomer known for its vibrant single flowers and delicate charm. Thriving best in 🌞 full sun or 🌤️ partial shade, this variety prefers a bright location where it can soak up plenty of light without getting scorched during the hottest part of the day. Its elegant, poppy-like blooms come in a stunning array of colors — from deep crimson ❤️ and rich violet 💜 to brilliant blue 💙 and pure white 🤍 — creating a dazzling display in any garden setting. These anemones typically grow to a height of 25 to 35 cm (about 10 to 14 inches), making them ideal for the front of flower beds, rock gardens, and containers. The tubers should be planted approximately 5 to 7 cm deep and spaced 10 to 15 cm apart, allowing enough room for each plant to develop fully. 🌱 After planting, germination usually takes 2 to 3 weeks, depending on soil temperature and moisture. It’s a good idea to soak the tubers in lukewarm water for several hours before planting to help kickstart the growth process. 🌼 Flowering typically begins in mid to late spring, around April to June, if planted in autumn. If planted in early spring, they’ll reward you with blossoms in late spring or early summer. With their long, graceful stems, De Caen anemones also make beautiful, long-lasting cut flowers — perfect for bringing a touch of spring indoors.
PACKAGE: The package contains 15 bulbs of Anemone coronaria ‘De Caen'. The bulbs have a circumference of 6/7 cm (about 2 cm in diameter). The packaging features a beautiful illustrative photo and includes planting and flowering information, making it an excellent gift idea.
HOW TO GROW: The tubers have an irregular, generally flattened shape with one convex side. This side should ideally be planted facing downward, but it’s not essential—sprouts will naturally find their correct orientation. Plant the bulbs about 4–5 cm deep in full sun or partial shade, either in pots or directly in the ground. Space them approximately 5–8 cm apart to allow the lush, deeply notched foliage to develop fully. Plant the tubers between September and December. Flowering will occur between March and June.
SELECTION AND QUALITY: The bulbs come with a phytosanitary passport and undergo a strict quality control process to ensure splendid blooms from the first year.
