Scindapsus pictus ‘Trebie’, also known as Devil’s Ivy or pothos, is a popular and elegant indoor plant that combines decorative beauty with easy care. Presented in a bright ELHO Vibes Fold pot in yellow, it adds a cheerful accent while bringing natural greenery into your home or workspace.

Native to the tropical regions of Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, Scindapsus thrives in warm, humid environments. In nature, it grows as a fast-growing climbing vine, using aerial roots to attach itself to trees. This makes it extremely versatile indoors, where it can be displayed in hanging baskets, allowed to trail from shelves, or trained to climb along a trellis or support.

Scindapsus pictus ‘Trebie’ is especially admired for its heart-shaped leaves, which are rich green and beautifully patterned with silver-grey variegation. The foliage is evergreen, remaining lush and attractive throughout the year. Flowering indoors is very rare and not ornamental, and the plant is not fragrant and has no spines.

With a current height of around 15 cm and a 14 cm pot diameter, this plant is ideal for smaller spaces while still offering strong decorative impact. As it matures, its trailing or climbing stems can reach 1 to 2 metres in length. It prefers bright, indirect light or half-shade, adapting well to indoor conditions without direct sunlight.

Watering should be done once a week, keeping the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. A well-draining soil mix, such as potting soil combined with perlite, is recommended to maintain healthy roots. During spring and summer, fertilising every 2–4 weeks with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertiliser will encourage steady growth and vibrant foliage. Delivered in an ornamental pot, the plant is ready to enjoy immediately.

In addition to its visual appeal, Scindapsus is valued for its air-purifying properties, helping to remove common indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde and benzene. Whether cascading gracefully or climbing upward, it brings freshness, texture and natural beauty to any indoor space.

Note: Scindapsus is toxic if ingested, so it should be kept out of reach of pets and small children.
