Scindapsus pictus, also known as Epipremnum or Devil’s Ivy, is a popular indoor plant appreciated for its refined foliage and easy-going nature. Scindapsus pictus is a climbing and trailing plant by nature. In its native tropical habitat of Southeast Asia, it grows by attaching itself to trees with aerial roots. Indoors, it can be grown in hanging baskets, allowed to trail from shelves, or trained to climb a support. When mature, it can reach 1 to 2 metres in length, adding softness and movement to interior spaces.

This plant thrives best in bright, indirect light, but it also tolerates lower light conditions well. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it may scorch the leaves. Watering should be moderate, typically about once a week, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. It prefers a well-draining soil, and care should be taken to ensure the roots are never left sitting in water. Occasional feeding during the growing season supports healthy growth.
