🌵 The Exotic Rhipsalis 'Red Coral' (Mistletoe Cactus)

The Rhipsalis 'Red Coral' is a stunning and unique indoor plant that belongs to the cactus family, yet defies the typical desert cactus image. It's an epiphytic cactus, meaning it naturally grows on trees in the rainforests of Central and South America, absorbing nutrients and moisture from the air. This plant is a popular choice for all enthusiasts due to its low-maintenance nature and tropical style.

Foliage and Form

The most striking feature of the 'Red Coral' is its vibrant red color and flowing, coral-like shape. Its stems are cylindrical, slender, and grow in a trailing and cascading habit, which is how it earned its name, as it resembles underwater coral. This makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or shelves. Unlike its desert relatives, it does not have spines. This is an evergreen plant, providing continuous color.
