Wisteria floribunda 'Longissima Alba', also known as white rain, is a white-flowered variety of wisteria. This variety grows and flowers in the same way as common wisteria, but it is just that little bit more exclusive! It is a climbing plant with beautiful, very long, pendulous flower clusters that appear en masse in May-June. There may also be a second bloom in September. It is a fast-growing climber that can reach a maximum height of 10 meters. To keep the wisteria in the best possible shape, it is best to train it along a pergola, fence, or trellis. Make sure there is a sturdy support, to which the branches are attached so that it can climb towards the sun. It is also important to prune the plant regularly during its growth or in early spring. Prune preferably twice a year.
